Diagnostic
We can perform many blood tests on site, reducing the wait time for a diagnosis. Our blood machines enable us to evaluate the kidney, liver, electrolytes, pancreas, red blood cells and white blood cells. We also perform fecal (stool) examinations to look for intestinal parasites. Urine samples are tested in-house for infection, urine concentration, blood, crystals and protein. We do skin scrapings and cytology to look for yeast, bacteria and other skin mites. We also perform in house cultures of urine, ear swabs and skin debris to look for infection. In-house testing allows us to begin appropriate treatment more quickly. Some specialized tests are sent to outside laboratories if needed.
